Show has been running for years together with quiet a few seasons making an impact on the television audience. The two doctors in the serial Nip/Tuck Sean McNamara and Christian Troy have their own problems and activities. McNamara has family problem, all along trying to patch up with his wife Julia. On the other hand Troy is busy with doing shady business with female candidates for the sake of money. This all is very dramatic, keeping and making audience spell bound. The guest stars in this serial are brilliantly chosen and they add to keep people glued to the television. There is something new in every episode of Nip/Tuck.

To maintain the continuity or to have the previous seasons for watching, download of Nip/Tuck is required. Even though Nip/Tuck was cancelled this year it seems as if True Blood was modeled after it. They both use the same formula: Extreme violence + extreme sex – any real plausibility = ratings. If you remember Nip/Tuck was actually a pretty good show in the beginning, but as the show progressed it became more and more outrageous with its odd story-lines. Once in a great while there would be a moment on the show that would catch your attention, some very touching moment.

True Blood has yet to have one of those moments for viewers to truly connect with. There is no story-line you can sink your teeth into (Excuse the pun) that has any real heart. Granted Jessica and Hoyt have their moments as do Lafeyette and Jesus. With Nip/Tuck what little touching moments there were in the show were usually lost in all the repulsive content that was added just to shock the audience.

This is due to something fairly new to cable that is referred to as “Cable Drama”. They can curse, show people having sex, discuss heavier topics, and show all the blood and guts they want. You name it and it happens on Cable Dramas. Unfortunately the writers think throwing all of the above into one show is a cool idea. Maybe they think that will make them stand out more.

The Episode

True Blood’s latest episode was supposed to have a lot of twists and spins to it that are supposed to affect the rest of the season. It did start off well, with Sookie and Bill breaking up. Don’t worry they both felt it was for the best. It seemed nice to watch two people, in tears, agree that it just wasn’t meant to be, even though they loved each other. The whole break-up would have been more meaningful if it would have lasted past the same episode.

The sex has come back to True Blood. Season 3 has been pretty quiet where sex is involved especially compared to Season 2, but it has made a big comeback on Sunday nights. Do you suppose that is why God invented Premium Cable? Not all the sex on True Blood is my cup of tea, but let Sookie or Eric show up in an encounter of the sexual nature and look out! Even the scene where Alcide and Sookie share a non-sexual moment was hot. They plan on having a raunchy reunion in the future. That would be something well received.

Eric decides he is going to kill Talbot to get revenge for Russell. Maybe this would make more sense if Russell actually acted like he was at wit’s end with Talbot, but he doesn’t. All he does is act a little annoyed at the guy. They should have made Russell as obsessive over Talbot as Talbot was over him, then Eric’s decision might make sense. Eric had better have something else going on in his head than just Russell.
