True Blood has yet to have one of those moments for viewers to truly connect with. There is no story-line you can sink your teeth into (Excuse the pun) that has any real heart. Granted Jessica and Hoyt have their moments as do Lafeyette and Jesus. With Nip/Tuck what little touching moments there were in the show were usually lost in all the repulsive content that was added just to shock the audience.

This is due to something fairly new to cable that is referred to as “Cable Drama”. They can curse, show people having sex, discuss heavier topics, and show all the blood and guts they want. You name it and it happens on Cable Dramas. Unfortunately the writers think throwing all of the above into one show is a cool idea. Maybe they think that will make them stand out more.

The Episode

True Blood’s latest episode was supposed to have a lot of twists and spins to it that are supposed to affect the rest of the season. It did start off well, with Sookie and Bill breaking up. Don’t worry they both felt it was for the best. It seemed nice to watch two people, in tears, agree that it just wasn’t meant to be, even though they loved each other. The whole break-up would have been more meaningful if it would have lasted past the same episode.

The sex has come back to True Blood. Season 3 has been pretty quiet where sex is involved especially compared to Season 2, but it has made a big comeback on Sunday nights. Do you suppose that is why God invented Premium Cable? Not all the sex on True Blood is my cup of tea, but let Sookie or Eric show up in an encounter of the sexual nature and look out! Even the scene where Alcide and Sookie share a non-sexual moment was hot. They plan on having a raunchy reunion in the future. That would be something well received.

Eric decides he is going to kill Talbot to get revenge for Russell. Maybe this would make more sense if Russell actually acted like he was at wit’s end with Talbot, but he doesn’t. All he does is act a little annoyed at the guy. They should have made Russell as obsessive over Talbot as Talbot was over him, then Eric’s decision might make sense. Eric had better have something else going on in his head than just Russell.

The central character is a 73 year old porn star, Hiro Yoshimura. He entered into this business after the death of his wife, when he began to feel ignored. After acting in 100 films, he is ready to launch his ‘Grandfather’ niche in the US. He is required to have his heart surgery scar repaired. Unfortunately, in the middle of an orgy scene, he suffers another heart attack. However, his co-stars praised him saying that he lived and died on his own terms.

In another story, Liz has been promoted as a partner and the practice is now known as McNamara/Troy/Cruz. Liz confesses during an operation that she does not know the reason behind surgeries and appreciates what Sean and Christian do. On the other hand, Christian strikes a deal with Ava, saying that if she dumps Matt they will perform surgery on son Rafael. She agrees but on condition that the surgery is on its way while she talks to Matt. Sean says that a follow up surgery will be requires every year for the next five years and even then the scars will be visible. Ava abandons Rafael and is confronted by Matt, who offers his daughter Jenna and pleads her to start a family. Ava agrees and starts a family with Matt after leaving Rafael.

On the other hand, Christian and Julia are worried about Sean’s attitude. Julia thinks that Sean is committed himself to his practice is just an excuse for denial of his love. On the other hand, she accuses Christian of stealing people’s souls.

Edith feels that her daughter deserves more enjoyment at her age, but she does not want to live with those memories any longer. On the other hand, Walter is happy to have her wife have a command in the house. A moving moment in the show happens when Liz tells him that the circuit system of OR is down, Walter makes her wife sleep by singing a song for her. When an infection develops, Walter gets excited and begins to sing in German about “The Children” .When repeatedly asked by his wife; he reveals that as a Nazi soldier, his duty was to issue tattoos. The stronger boys were assigned tattoos and put to work, whereas the weaker ones were killed. Krieger wanted to become a Jew and had a tattoo self imposed on him. His daughter complained to the Wiesenthal center to stand trial, but his wife decided to stand by him. As Matt is preparing for his wedding, he meets an unexpected person from his past. Ava Moore began a relationship with Matt who used to go well with her troubled son. But things went bad as Matt became depressed from that relationship and Ava’s son committed suicide.

There are similar stories in the series which work in perfect synchronization and are so well blended together. To add to this, none of the stories overshadow one another. The issues like children in danger, the unheard secrets behind the storylines are efficiently accommodated. This may be called as one of the best final episodes so far.

Therefore, it can be concluded that what was once known as a vain and over-the-edge practice is now accepted by different cultures. Indeed, science has been maximized for the pleasure of the individual.

But what’s more important to note is that cosmetic surgery is not anymore a thing for the rich and famous. Some medical procedures, or its alternatives, can be easily availed even by the middle class now.

Indeed, the world has already standardized beauty. We just hope that the day won’t come when the beauty that is now set as the standard won’t revert to how people have looked before their augmentations.

This episode reveals the reason of the previous episodes. Matt chooses Ava replacing Ramona, by not attending their wedding. Christian and Sean wanted to be Julia’s suitors, after they learned she will be finally marrying in England.

Matt is severely attracted to Ava, despite knowing that Ava is a man in the first place. Christian couldn’t believe that a man like
Matt can be so crazy.

Hiro Yoshimura who is already in his 70′s wanted to become a star by getting naked, the truth and reality fails to dissuade him.

A vision of Kimber and Julia’s worries forces Christian to rethink about his long standing relationship with Sean. An elderly porn star from Asia comes to McNamara /Troy and requests to surgically remove his scars before he debuts in an American porn movie. Melonie Diaz is the guest star.

Dylan Walsh popularly known as Dr. Sean McNamara will be a filming “The Stepfather” A thriller movie about a teenage boy discovering that his stepfather is a psycho killer who killed all the members of his previous family.

Walsh is the stepfather who wanted to have a perfect and loving family, and if it doesn’t meet his expectations, he is out for a kill.

McMahon will be appearing in the movie based on a book by Mark Behr, a South African writer. The movie is titled “the Smell of Apples.” It is about a boy staying in South Africa, during apartheid times. McMahon known as Dr. Christian Troy will be teaming up with Gillian Anderson, known for her X-files episodes.

Liz in the meantime happily reveals that she is pregnant. Guest stars are Famke Janssen and Melonie Diaz.

Liz dates a saleswoman who is separated. Guest stars are Robert Davi, Joan Van Ark, Donna Mills Geroge Newbern Joan Rivers.

Liz and Matt also tag along for the sessions. Melonie Diaz appears as a guest star.
